Garden Light
Almighty God,
Great Spirit,
questions
regarding
love and purpose.
Under sparkling stars,
the cosmos make sense.
Around angry humans,
it is hard to breathe.
Looking into the infinity of the universe,
can create positive thinking.
Positivity unites with possibilities for all -
no matter what color or size or shape.
Acceptance and caring take the place of competition.
A young doe with two speckled fawns,
is necessary as the tallest skyscraper.
Families from all over the world…..
are equally important.
Our Lord, born in Bethlehem,
taught us about sincere love, power of healing,
and infinitely more.
Let us offer Glorious appreciation for
his Mother Mary, as well.

Weekly News
Dawn Jex, Red Door Manager
Dawn Jex
Hello Everyone!
Thank you to all of you who attended our Potluck Picnic yesterday! The food was delicious, the weather was brilliant and visiting with friends was even better! Thank you for being a part of this community. We are so grateful for all of you.
Barry and I are blown away by your generosity and kindness. We were not expecting to be receiving anything yesterday but we are SO grateful for the gift cards y'all gave us. We plan to use them to purchase things for our new house: a dining room table and chairs, a vacuum cleaner, maybe even a desk for Barry's computer! Again, thank you for your generosity.
We have a few needs at the shop right now:
I am looking for someone to work Friday afternoon pricing hard goods. We currently only have one volunteer doing this job and we are having a hard time keeping up with the flow of donations. Maybe you have a friend who might be interested?
I also am looking for someone to price clothing on Mondays. Our current volunteer is going to be having surgery and will not be able to come in for quite some time.
The current calendars are up on the bulletin board, and I will be working on September ones soon. Please write down any vacation/time off in the spiral binder so I can have the most updated info please. I will be on vacation myself from 9/6 through 9/15. Debbie will be covering all of the shifts Mon-Thurs and then Claire Hoberecht will be our Person in Charge on Friday 9/12.
Please remember to put things back where you found them: Outdoor Keys go right in front of my computer area in the clear bin. Red rolling cart stays in the back room for goodwill boxes. Please and Thank you.
Cheers,
Dawn
